Hi, I was wondering if you could make a new page full of love quotes? I don't know if you already have one but I can't seem to find it! Thanks!!
Hello! We don’t have any of our quotes tagged by theme, except the ones we tag under ‘happy.’ We can start tagging our future quotes under ‘love’ if they fit the tag but unfortunately, we can’t include any of the past quotes since it would require us to through nearly 3,000 quotes and we don’t have the time to do so. But we’ll do our best to tag the ones we post in the future! :)
your handwriting is AMAZING. i wish it was a font:(
Aw, thank you, this is so kind of you! It’d be so strange to have a font made of any of our handwritings, I couldn’t ever imagine that happening but thank you, your compliment is lovely all the same. Have a nice day!
Hello i dont know if you guys will get this but you inspired me to read the picture of dorian gray (never thought dorian would die this way btw. And i love lord henrys opinion about beauty and being young, page 32 is that possible to have it?) now i wanted to ask if you could recomand me other oscar will books or just books you like in general? And, as you would say, Have a great day xxx :D
Carrie: I prefer his plays over his other work. You definitely have to read The Importance of Being Earnest, Lady Windermere’s Fan, and Salome. You might want to look in to Henry James (The Portrait of a Lady, Washington Square and What Maise Knew are my favorites) or Edith Wharton (The Age of Innocence is a classic!). Definitely look in to F. Scott Fitzgerald, as well!
i've sent this a couple times but you probably didn't see it from all the messages you guys get, but I just wanted to say that I love your blog so much and it's gotten me through so many things. you can't imagine how many nights I spent just reading through all of them, and feeling so much better. I once spent a few hours writing them all down, and it took me nearly all night. thank you so much for having this blog.
From Paige: I just typed all of this out and then found that Lisa already replied, but I wanted to say it anyway— Wow, I don’t know how we would have missed a message like this before but thank you so much! It means a lot to know that our blog could help anyone this way. Seriously, thank you— and I’m sure I speak for all of us when I say have a wonderful day/night/whatever you’re having where you are! :)
Hi! I've tried making a quote, but I can never get the background to be perfectly white when I upload it to my computer. How do you do it?
Daise: I’m not sure about the other members of the blog but I don’t do anything to the quotes. I write my quotes on white paper, scan them, crop them, and then upload them. Perhaps you could try photoshop? But in the long run, if a quote isn’t it perfectly white it doesn’t make a difference and we’ll accept the quote like that. Have a nice day!
Paige: I have the same problem when I scan mine, so I use iPhoto (though if you don’t have a Mac you could use any photo editing program) and increase the exposure, which makes the background whiter. After that you could play with the definition & highlights to make sure the writing itself doesn’t fade when you adjust the exposure. But either way it doesn’t have to be perfect!
This is kind of dorky, but I absolutely love the handwriting of the person who writes a lot of your quotes (for example, the recent "reality is merely an illusion.." by Einstein) and I was wondering if that person could write "Lilies that fester smell far worse than weeds" by William Shakespeare ? Thank you!
I (Daise/wildthicket) wrote the Einstein quote, I’ll write up the Shakespeare quote for you and upload it soon! And thank you very much! I hope you’re well :)
How come when I click on certain authors, it leads me to "Page not found" ?
Apologies! We haven’t had time to fully go through our authors page, something might be misspelled or we might not have any quotes from a certain author anymore. Hopefully we will be able to fix it all soon! Have a nice day!
